Kansainvälinen Kaurialan lukio - vaihto-opiskelijan haastattelu 2.Last message - An interview with our Italian exchange student Leonardo: -What feelings do you have about leaving Finland soon? I think I feel kind of sad to leave the count- ry I have lived in for five months, but I feel very excited to go back to Italy and to hug my relatives and friends again. -What was the most memorable moment of your exchange year? My most memorable moment was in the AFS's camp when I sang together with the other exchange students, while Paopao was playing the guitar. -What is your favorite Finnish word or sentence? Have you learned to speak Finnish? My favorite word is probably “kalsari- kännit”, because I think it is a funny and weird word. We don't have anything like that in Italian. I didn't learn much Finnish but I can understand the context of the discussion. -What kind of stereotypes did you have about Finland before coming here? Did the stereotypes about Finns hold true? The basic stereotypes are probably that only few Finnish people are open minded to new relationships and that it is hard to start a conversa- tion with Finns. But I don`t think this applies to the people I met in Finland, of course you aren't like Italians but not even too cold. -What kind of hobbies did you have in Finland? During my exchange period I played football, went every morning to the gym at school and I also used to attend scout meetings. -Have you cooked Italian food for your host family? If yes, did they like it? I really like cooking food, so I coo- ked Italian food for my family many times. Some of them liked it and some didn't. -Do you want to visit Finland again after your exchange year? I would like to, although probably not right away.
